Hey Lovely People! I feel like having at least one lace piece of clothing is a staple in a wardrobe. Lace is such a beautiful way to add detail to something! I will say though, I do not love every lace fabric that is out there. I have seen some that just look very low quality to me, and instead of making me feel like a million bucks, they do the opposite for me. I tend to be quite picky when it comes to lace fabrics. Crochet lace, has become a favorite of mine, ever since I discovered the brand Self-Portrait. This dress isn’t by the Self-Portrait brand, but it is similar to the brand aesthetic and a tad more affordable. This piece is from Topshop. This specific dress is sold out, but I did link some others I love. Topshop tends to design crochet/lace dresses quite often. So, definitely keep that in mind.
I love how classy the lace pattern, the colors, and the style of this dress is, but still very sexy. White, black, and gold are classic colors, and I definitely love seeing them together. I got many compliments on this dress when I wore it. It does reveal some skin in the waist area and the back, but I find that you can easily wear a nude cami underneath. I have worn it both ways, with and without a cami. It really just depends on the occassion for me, and what I feel is appropriate. For example, if I was wearing this or something like it for a work day, a cami would be necessary, and I would probably add a blazer on top. Of course, this all depends on the kind of work place.
Many of the crochet lace dresses I have stumbled upon, have skin revealing features. Which is beautiful, but let’s face it, it’s not always practical. When you don’t want to show skin, well thats when layering comes in. Lace can be such an elegant statement. Enjoy!
Thanks for Stopping By! Have A Fabulous Day! =)
